Show your support for Single Payer Universal Health Care

Health Insurance makes us sick. Our pithy tease, er tees, are fighting for something better. $1 per t-shirt or sticker you buy goes toward passing HR 676 or SB 840, legislation for single-payer universal health care.These bills cut out the for-profit insurance companies, so that doctors can give the care they choose and patients can get the care they need.

As of September 1st, 2008 the California legislature passed SB 840 FOR THE 3rd time, and it is once again on Governor Schwarzenegger's desk. He has veto'd the bill twice before and there is no hint that this time will be any different.

All Californians should call their district suoervisor and urge him or her to press the Schwartz to sign SB 840 into law. And while you're at it call the Gov. His number is (916) 445-2841.

Are you tired of fighting with insurance companies lying to you? Did they promise to cover your needs, but instead sit on their hands when you needed them most? Does anger come bubbling to the surface whenever you hear the word 'denied'?

Well, we have several answers for your ills right here. First VOTE for OBAMA, and second, buy one of our pithy products. It won't cure any disease, or treat any condition, but it will express your anger for you so that you can keep your blood pressure down.

We have shirts and bumper stickers in support for both SB 840 ( the California Single Payer Initiative ) as well as for HR 676 ( the National Single Payer Initiative ). It might seem odd to some that we would support both, but the way we see it California will have to lead the way. When HR 676 is enacted, SB 840 will become obsolete, but in the meantime we want to save people's lives and lively hood.

So help us in our fight to make Health Care an inalienable right. We are up against paper entities, corporations, with far more resources and legal rights than those of flesh and blood. And yet, they are gaining rights, where we are losing ours.

We implore you to read what we have to say about Single Payer health care, read what others say about it, read the bills in question (find the .PDF's on our Act Now page) and talk to as many people as you can about the topic. You will be amazed at how many people do talk about something as prosaic as health care, and you will come to know just how important this issue is.

Do not be swayed into voting for a plan or scheme that simply proclaims to be "Universal Health Care" without reading the fine print. We've have read them, and there is no longer a candidate running who has ahealth care leg to stand on.
